Just a quick post! I found this project that I made last year as I was getting ready for our craft show. The tutorial for this project was created by Brenda Quintana. The boxes are just big enough for a small treat or note and will help your child count down the days until Christmas.

September 2012 Stamp Club Project #1
Here is one of the projects that we made at out September stamp club. This project was made using 2 of the Mini Milk Carton dies.
Isn't the little mummy peeking out cute? I don't normally buy Halloween sets, I'm more into pumpkins and scarecrows then mummies and witches, but this set GOOGLY GHOULS was to cute to pass up.

Cards For Sale at Whitling's Whimsy
Here is another card that I made at my fall retreat. I love using Stampin' Up embossing folders and this card uses several of them.
This will be one of the cards for sale at Whitling's Whimsy this week. Whitling's Whimsy is a new tea shop here in Casey that sits right next to Casey's very own World's Largest Windchimes. Yep, the windchimes will be in the 2013 edition of the Guiness Book of World Records. How cool is that.
So next time you are in our neck of the woods, stop and visit the windchimes, have a bite to eat at WW, and check out my cards for sale.

ALL WRAPPED UP CLASS
Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that my daughter Jessi is offering a class "All Wrapped Up" on Friday September 7th, 6:30pm at my house. The class includes a Photo Block, Keychain Scrapbook, Brag Book, Gift Bag and card (not shown) for $25. This would make a great gift for Grandparents Day (which is on the 9th), Secret Pal gifts, or any gift giving occasion. You can add the photos yourself or let the recipient add their own photos. The Designer Series Paper may vary, so the kits will be given out on a first come first serve basis.
If you can't make the class, but would like to purchase the kit for $25, just let us know by August 31st. If you would like to purchase the completed gift set, they will be available for $35.
Also, I only have 2 spots left for the retreat at the cabin which is October 5th and 6th. If you would like to reserve a spot the cost is $35 and includes a stamp set, lunch on Saturday, several make n takes, and the use of my inks, punches, dies and stamp sets. This is a good time to catch up on all those projects on your list or perhaps get started on your Christmas list.
I will also be having a Christmas Stamp-a-Stack this year in October but I haven't finalized the date for that yet. The cost will be $20 and we will make 12 cards (3 each of 4 designs) with envelopes.
Thanks and don't forget to RSVP for the "All Wrapped Up" Class by this Friday.

Bring A Buddy Night (part 2)
WOW, time has flown by this summer. I almost went the whole month of July with out posting. I've spent a lot of time this month enjoying the grandkids and my new swimming pool. But hopefully, I can get back into a routine of some sorts. We just finished Vacation Bible School so I think August should be a little more laid back.
I wanted to share with you the second card that we made at my Bring A Buddy Night. I really like Stampin Up's new Firm Foam Ink pads. So much so that I went ahead and purchased all new ink pads in all the colors. They stamp awesome images. I've used the sentiment from the Blooming with Kindness stamp set (126422) and the flower and leaf image are from the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set (126006).

Apothecary Art
This is a card that I made when this set was first released in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I'm so glad this set carried over.
Although the matching framelits are only supposed to be used to cut one sheet of cardstock at a time, I did cut through 2 layers of cardstock and a layer of Designer Series Paper with out any trouble.
I don't remember all the details of this card and I sold it a long time ago. I need to start posting my cards BEFORE I sell them.

A Stepped Up Version of Yesterday's Card

Bring A Buddy Night
Thursday evening I had my first "Bring a Buddy" event and it was a lot of fun even though I was pretty nervous. What I did was ask my "old customers" (ladies who had been customers of mine for a while) to bring a friend. These friends could be new stampers or just new to me stampers. And I got a little bit of both. It had been a while since I have taught brand new stampers and I was definitely out of practice, but they did great.
I made this a "no sales pressure" night by not taking any orders. I just wanted the newbies to enjoy themselves and learn a little bit about Stampin' Up without feeling pressured to buy something. Hopefully they enjoyed themselves and some have already expressed an interest in joining clubs or taking my classes.
Here is one of the cards that we made. I tried to keep it simple yet cute. I'm sure you have noticed the ink mark on my card. I decided not to redo this card to show others that your card doesn't have to be perfect.
To thank my customers for bringing a friend, my husband made them their choice of a Bow Maker or a Hanging Scrapbook holder. I really do appreciate my "old customers", some who have been with me since I became a demonstrator 7 years ago. Thanks again ladies!

Betsy's Blossoms
I really like the bold images in this new set Betsy's Blossoms.
I paired it with two of the new in colors, Gumball Green and Primrose Petals. The stitched satin ribbon comes in all of the 2012-2013 In Colors. The Designer Series Paper is from the Patio Party pack.
I have been trying to get into the habit of decorating the inside of the cards a
little bit also. Just a small piece of Designer Series Paper can really add a lot to the inside of the card.

New 2012-2013 Stampin Up Catalog Product
Here is one of the first cards that I made with my Stampin Up preorder product. The image comes from the new stamp set Layered Labels. I then die cut the image using the new Apothecary Accents Framelits die. I stamped the image a second time and hand cut the oval part and attached it with Stampin Dimensionals. The colors used were Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze and Soft Suede.

GENERIC GRADUATION CARD
Here's one of the cards we made at stamp camp in March. I called it a "generic" graduation card because we didn't use school colors. This card would be great for male or female, or for a high school or college grad.
The other thing I like about this card is that although it is a Shutter Card, instead of using 12x12 paper which I don't have a lot of, I changed the pattern a little bit so you can make it out of 8 1/2 x 11 card stock so you get two cards out of one sheet of card stock.
The stamp comes from the stamp set Word Play which will be carried over into the new catalog. The designer series paper however is retiring. And just a reminder - today is the last day to order from the old catalog. The new catalog goes live tomorrow at noon.
If you haven't received a new catalog yet let me know. If you live near by I will drop you off one, or I can mail you one for the cost of postage.

Retreat Projects
Here is another card that I made at the retreat. I'm not normally a big cow fan, but this one was just too cute. I don't remember who I cased this from but thank you to whoever shared this great idea.
The fence I have seen on lots of different cards and it was super easy to make. Using the Simply Scored tool that Stampin' Up offers, just make score lines every 3/8", then go back with your Scalloped border punch at the top.

Please don't have a stroke...
Because I'm trying another post, I know, that's two in one day. But after looking at the first post with my IPad, I thought the picture was a little small. So I'm going to show you another project that I made at the cabin, and this time I'm adjusting my settings.
Isn't she cute? I saw this card on Dawn Griffiths blog I believe. The inside says "I hope you feel better beary soon". I had to add the little bow to my bear, otherwise she is pretty much a complete case from Dawn.

What a Horrible Blogger I am...
I'm not even going to apologize this time. We just have to face the facts - I stink at blogging. Now that we have accepted that, we can move on.
I have been working on getting my IPad updated and the apps I need to blog from my IPad. I don't know if this will help or not, I make no promises.
I have made a lot of projects since the last time I have posted, that's not the problem. Getting them onto my blog is the problem.
Anyway, last weekend we had the first Stamping Retreat at our cabin. It was a lot of fun. I had 8 ladies attend besides myself and we spent Friday and Saturday stamping, and eating of course.
Friday everyone brought a dish to share and then on Saturday Kathy Maulding fixed us an awesome lunch. We had tons of great food.
Each lady attending received the Bright Blossoms Stamp Set along with a sample of the coordinating Designer Series Paper and brads, along with some other goodies. We also had door prizes and each person got to pick an item from the "gift basket".
I had also taken to the cabin my inks, punches, dies, and a bunch of current and retired stamp sets for the ladies to use. I think everyone had a good time, it was definitely a good weekend to stamp - it rained all weekend.
While I didn't get a ton of projects made, I did make some that had been on my "to do" list for a while. This project is a pop up card. I know, it's been around for ever, but I just never got around to making one. It really is quite easy to do. I used the Build-a-bear set which will be retiring soon. If you would like for me to show you how to make one (and maybe some of your friends too), just give me a holler and we can set up a time for a workshop.
Thanks for looking,
Kim

Praying For You...
I've been playing in my stamp room all day today. My husband went on a retreat this weekend and he took me to a little scrapbooking store before he left and he let me buy some new stuff. Not that I really needed any new stuff, but don't tell him that!
One of the things I bought was Honey Comb paper. It's fun to play with. Since I didn't buy any of the coordinating stamp sets that go with the Honey Comb paper, I had to come up with ways to use it on my own.
So here is my first idea. Simply the center of a flower. This paper has to be used inside a card because when you open the card, that is what causes the paper to fan out. So if you are wondering why I would put a flower in the fold of my card - now you know.
I also used my new favorite paper - Everyday Enchantment - which is available for FREE during Sale-a-bration with a $50 order.

Free 30-day Trial for My Digital Studio Express
Although I purchased the My Digital Studio software when it first came out, I really haven't played with it much. So that was one of my goals for the new year - to make some projects with this program.
So here is a project I just completed of my granddaughter Hydi. I think one of the reasons I don't do much scrapbooking is because I stink at taking pictures. That should be another goal this year - take some photography lessons from my friend Cheryl.
If you are interested in a trying out a digital scrapbooking program, Stampin' Up is offering a free 30-day trial of the express version.
* Full access to the software at NO COST for 30 days.
* Full design functionality.
* Exclusive artwork that comes with My Digital Studio Express—that’s $50 worth of content!
* Opportunity to purchase additional downloads from designer templates to stamp brush sets--and everything in between.
* Access to our professional print services.
Stampin' Up even has a website MyDigitalStudio.net that is available to everyone and is full of samples, tutorials, and tips and tricks for My Digital Studio. With this program you can not only make scrapbook pages, but you can also make cards, calendars, journals, books and more.
To download My Digital Studio Express and start your 30 day FREE TRIAL, just go to my Online Store click on the shop now button on the top right hand corner, then click on the MDS Free Trial icon again located in the top right hand corner.
If you have any questions or problems, please let me know.
Thanks

Case'd Myself
I really like the layout of my card yesterday and I love the new Everyday Enchantment DSP so I decided to case myself. I did use a different stamp set this time - Fresh Vintage - which is one of the Sale-a-bration sets that you will be able to earn starting January 24. I also dusted off my Janome Sewing Machine (I mean this literally, it was dusty) and added some stitching to the card. It had been so long since I had used the machine I had to figure out how to thread it all over again.
I think that since I have it threaded now, I will keep it out and use it for a while. I hope you like the card.

Kim
