Coaster for March Stamp Club

Here is a coaster that we made at our March Stamp Club. We just stamped our image in stazon ink and colored with Sharpies Permanent Markers. I have not baked mine and have had no problem so far with the marker coming off.

March Stamp Club

Here is a card that we made at our Stamp Club tonight. I used the cake from the Year-After-Year stamp set.
The instructions are as follows:
1. Stamp the cake image using black stazon ink, let it dry a few minutes.
2. Using the Soft Sky ink pad and blender pen, color in the cake plate. Use the pretty in pink marker to color in the heart.
3. Using a 2-way glue pen, cover the cake with glue and sprinkle on Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
4. Stamp the leaf image from the Carte Postale set using Soft Sky ink.
5. Assemble the card as shown, stamp sentiment on the bottom using basic gray ink.
6. Attach basic gray taffeta ribbon (cut approx. 13”).

Another Long Time Friend Card

I think this is one of my all time favorite cards. I really like this set. It's sad to think I have about 180 stamp sets and here I am borrowing a set from a friend.

The image on this card was done pretty much the same as the card in the previous post. I used a combination of SU Metallic Pencils, SU pure color, SU markers and my prismacolor pencils with the Gamasol Technique. I used Whisper white paper and bashful blue paper for the card base. I really like the new striped ribbon from Stampin Up also. I think it really adds to the card.

Long Time Friend Card

This is a stamp set (Long Time Friend) I borrowed from a friend of mine. I really like it. I wish now I would have bought this set when it it was available. It was in one of the mini catalogs.

I used my Stampin' Up Metallic pencils and Pure color pencils using the gamasol magic technique, and markers to color the image stamped on watercolor paper.

I used Lavendar Lace and Mellow Moss paper and some of the new Chocolate Chip Twill ribbon from the current mini catalog. The verse is from the retired stamp set Words of Wisdom.

I've also made a set of coasters from this set that I will try to get uploaded tomorrow.

Finally - a new post...

I hadn't realized how long it had been since I had posted anything. Time really goes by fast.

So here is a new card. There is no stamping on this card. This one was made with my new embossing folders for my cuttlebug. I used two different folders on this card. I also used my new scor-pal to add some lines to break up the embossing folders and the "thinking of you" sentiment is one of the rub-ons from Sale-a-brations.

I used watercolor paper and colored in the birds and swirls with my SU markers. I messed up on the bottom and ran the embossing folder in upside down, so my dots are not embossed out. To cover up my mistake, I just colored the dots in with a SU marker also.

Do you reconize the color of the paper? It's Stampin' Up's retired Mauve Mist. I thought I had a bad batch of Pale Plum paper on my hand before I realized this was one of the colors Stampin Up retired several years ago. I added some ribbon to the top of the card and it's done. A really quick and easy card to make.

It's become very popular now to use two different embossing folders on your cards. You can go to this site to see some really amazing cards using the Cuttlebug embossing folders.
