Playing with some new toys...

It was like Christmas at my house the other day, I got a big box of new Stampin' Up toys.  I was playing with one of my new embossing folders last night and this is what I came up with.

The idea all started from the little bow on the card.  I had made the bow several days ago when I was practicing the Faux Bow technique and so I just designed the card around the bow.  Hope you like it.

Open House Cards

Here are the two cards that we made at my open house on September 3rd. The Get Well card is a case of a design that I have seen all over the place so I have no idea who to credit for it. The colors I used for the card are Soft Suede and More Mustard although in the picture it looks more like Chocolate Chip. I used the new SU embossing folder Elegant Bouquet and colored it with my very neglected SU chalks.

On the Halloween card I used the new set from the Holiday Mini - Pumpkin Patch - and I used the new

1 1/4" grosgrain ribbon Pumpkin Pie which is really nice.

I thought it would be hard to tie since it is such a wide ribbon but it wasn't hard at all, it's a really soft ribbon.

I've been busy... Again

I'm sorry I haven't posted for awhile (again). I've been busy (again). I keep hoping things will slow down. Anyway, I've been busy with my oldest daughter's baby shower. My middle daughter Jessi and I hosted a shower for Brandy. She is due September 28th.

And while trying to get ready for that, I was also trying to get ready for Vacation Bible School. If you have ever helped with VBS, you will understand what an undertaking that can be.

I will be posting more about each event later, but to hold you over, I'm going to post a card I made some time ago. It uses the set Pun Fun.

Get Well Card

I finally had time this evening to make a couple of cards. I needed a get well card for our friend Chuck who had his appendix taken out Thursday. I realized I don't have many stamps when it comes to masculine get well cards, so this is what I came up with.

I finally had time to open my Stampin' Up box that came yesterday so I used my new spiral punch. I also used Nice & Easy Notes which was one of the first stamps set I purchased.
